一般社団法人情報通信ネットワーク産業協会、一般社団法人電子情報技術産業協会（JEITA）、一般社団法人コンピュータソフトウェア協会（CSAJ）の3 団体で構成するCEATEC JAPAN実施協議会はこのほど、2012年10月2日（火）から10月6日（土）までの5日間にわたり、幕張メッセで開催する最先端IT・エレクトロニクス総合展『CEATEC JAPAN 2012』の内容を発表しました。

出展者数・小間数は7月19日現在、408社／団体（うち海外：17カ国／地域から136社／団体）2130小間。最終的には昨年の開催規模（586社／団体、うち海外18カ国／地域から158社／団体、2243小間）と同水準になる見通しです。

今回の開催テーマは『Smart Innovation － 豊かな暮らしと社会の創造』。

IT・エレクトロニクスの技術革新が、暮らしや社会全体を快適に、スマート化してくことを、世界に向けて発信します。

ステージ名称を「ライフ&ソサエティステージ」と「キーテクノロジステージ」に変更し、技術のシームレスな連携が生み出すスマートな暮らし・社会が展望出来る、新たなステージ構成で開催します。

また、「モビリティ」、「エネルギー」、「医療・ヘルスケア」の３つの分野にスポットを当て、IT・エレクトロニクス技術が貢献し、スマート化する他産業との連携を特別展示/企画等を設置し、最新情報を発信します。

毎年多くの関心を集めるコンファレンスでは、初日の10月2日に、三菱電機株式会社取締役会長の下村節宏氏、ソニー株式会社取締役代表執行役副会長の中鉢良治氏、株式会社オービックビジネスコンサルタント代表取締役社長の和田成史氏による講演が行われるのをはじめ、GCCE2012共同基調講演として、SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS Sr.VicePresident, GabsooHan, Ph.D 氏によるゲストスピーチが実施されます。

２日目以降も連日、IT・エレクトロニクス業界におけるキーパーソンが、様々な視点から話題性の高いメッセージを世界へ向けて発信します。

今年よりIEEE（The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.） Consumer Electronics Society が主催する国際会議 「The 1st IEEE Global Conference on Consumer Electronics 2012（GCCE2012）」が併催され、世界の技術プロフェッショナルによる意見交換が行われます。

さらに、昨年より新たに創設された、CEATEC AWARD をさらに拡充させ、出展される製品・技術・サービスの中から、学術的・技術的観点、将来性や市場性等の視点から、イノベーション性が高く優れていると評価できるものを審査・選考し、表彰します。

登録来場者数の目標は20万人とされています。2011年に開かれた前回は17万2137人を数えました。

入場料　3－5日は、当日登録は一般1000 円、学生500 円（学生20名以上の団体および小学生以下は入場無料）、Web事前登録・招待券当日登録の場合、無料。10月6日は入場無料ですが、18才以上は入場登録が必要です。

The CEATEC JAPAN Executive Board, which comprises three organizations – the Communications and Information Network Association of Japan (CIAJ), whose Chairman is Setsuhiro Shimomura, Chairman of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation; the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA), whose Chairman is Ryoji Chubachi, CEO and Vice Chairman of Sony Corporation; and the Computer Software Association of Japan (CSAJ), whose Chairman is Shigefumi Wada, President of OBIC Business Consultants Co.,Ltd. – is pleased to announce that CEATEC JAPAN 2012 – the Cutting-edge IT & Electronics Comprehensive Exhibition, will be held over a five-day period from October 2 (Tuesday) to October 6 (Saturday), 2012, in Makuhari Messe (Mihama Ward, Chiba City).

The theme of CEATEC JAPAN 2012 will be “Smart Innovation – Creating a prosperous lifestyle and society”. And the message it will broadcast to the world is that technological innovations in IT and electronics are set to make people’s lives and society as a whole smarter and more comfortable.

For this year’s CEATEC JAPAN, the stage names have been changed to “Lifestyle & Society Stage” and “Key Technologies Stage”.

The new stage organization will provide visitors with an overview of the smart lifestyles and smart society created by the seamless integration of technologies.
Furthermore, with the spotlight on the three fields of “mobility,” “energy” and “medical/health care,” special exhibitions and events will be held in cooperation with other industries benefiting from the smarter contributions of IT and electronic technologies so as to make available the latest information.

In the daily conferences that attract a great deal of attention every year, key figures in the IT & electronics industry will give keynote speeches and guest speeches.

At these gatherings speakers examine the most topical issues from a variety of perspectives, addressing the world at large. Moreover, from this year CEATEC JAPAN will be held jointly with the 1st IEEE Global Conference on Consumer Electronics 2012 (GCCE 2012), an international conference sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Society of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).

This will further stimulate discussions among technology professionals from around the world.

In addition, the CEATEC Awards – launched last year – will be further expanded.

Products, technologies and services on display will be examined from scientific and technical perspectives as well as from the point of view of future potential and marketability.

Judges will select those that are deemed to represent a high level of innovative
excellence and prizes will be awarded.
